Daily Verse

A daily verse from the ESV Bible.
  • Galatians 3:24-26
So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

Community Groups

Belonging to a Community Group can be vital for your faith in Jesus and for your spiritual growth. God does not intend for any of us to make this journey alone, and He established the church for this reason.  As churches grow in number it can be difficult for people to connect with each other and stay connected as part of a family.  With this in mind we will have several Community Groups meeting in homes throughout the week beginning in September.

What are Community Groups?  Community Groups are anywhere from 6 - 12 adults and their families who meet weekly to grow in their walk with Christ and encourage one another during the week.

Taking seriously our calling to grow in godliness, Community Groups can play a vital role in gospel transformation by providing a context of loving relationships in which the Gospel is applied to everyday living.   How?  By speaking the truth in love, encouraging each other in Christ, and sharing burdens with grace and compassion.

As with every ministry at Living Rock Church, the gospel of Jesus Christ should drive all that we do.  Community Groups are no different.   We are excited about Community Groups for the following biblical reasons:

  • We are created for community. As people made in God's image, we are made for relationships - with God and each other.
  • We are called into community. As people saved by grace, we are redeemed individually for a corporate existence - as part of the body of Christ.
  • We are cared for in community. As people cared for and comforted by our heavenly Father, we are compelled to love others in like manner.
  • We are changed in community. As people who are on a journey of change, we are transformed by the grace of God through caring relationships found in genuine community.
  • We are commissioned in community. As people who received the redeeming love of Christ, we are called to love God and to share the good news of Jesus Christ and do good deeds so that others may praise God.
