Daily Verse

A daily verse from the ESV Bible.
  • Galatians 3:24-26
So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

Our Vision

Vision is the bold exciting picture of Living Rock's future as we build upon the foundation of Jesus Christ in Gillette, Wyoming and across the world.

Imagine...

A church committed to the Priority of God's Word...

We see worship services where people are challenged and encouraged to grow in knowledge and application of God’s Word through preaching that is expositional, relevant, and exciting.

We see believers growing in doctrine and discernment.

We envision children, youth, and adults learning and applying the Scriptures to their lives on a daily basis in their homes, workplaces, schools, and every walk of life.

We envision men’s, women’s, and family-based small groups where the study and interaction with God’s Word is central.

We dream of classes that will help all believers to correctly interpret and apply the Scriptures to their daily lives as well as train them to communicate it to both believers and unbelievers.

We dream of opportunities for believers to study and experience the Scriptures in their cultural and geographical context by taking Holy Land study tours with Ray Vander Laan’s “That The World May Know” ministries.

A church committed to the Power of Prayer...

We see prayer as an integral part of the worship service experience by preparing for the service through prayer, lifting people up in prayer, and providing time and a place after the service for people to pray and be prayed for.

We hear people praying together over a cup of coffee or a meal as well as in small groups.

We see the church going on prayer walks together in our community as we seek to build Christ’s kingdom in Gillette through prayer.

We see people growing in their understanding of prayer and fasting through Bible study, books about prayer, and special focuses on prayer as a church.

We envision each believer praying specifically for friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family members to come to know Christ and to have opportunities to be a witness to them.

A church committed to Engaging Evangelism...

We envision a church with a mission to share the good news of Jesus Christ in Gillette, in other areas of Wyoming through church planting, and to un-reached people across the world.

We see people engaging the community of Gillette through serving and meeting needs in the community.

We envision outreach opportunities for kids using sports, music, etc. which focus on bringing families into the church.

We see people being trained in how to boldly share the good news of Jesus Christ through the Word of God as well as their own story of coming to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

We envision Christ-centered small groups and seminars in the church to help people find victory in issues facing our community such as divorce, substance abuse, parenting, etc.

We see life-interest based small groups such as biking, hiking, hunting, MOPS, etc. which will be a first step and open door to reach out to unbelievers and introduce them to Christ.

A church committed to Loving Relationships...

We see times of worship in which people are coming to build up and encourage other people, especially new people.

We see small groups where men and women are meeting weekly to sharpen one another spiritually, encourage each other, and share their lives with each other.

We envision visitors being invited to lunch with church members and sensing that “These people really care about me.”

We see friendships, marriages, and parent-child relationships all growing as they allow the love of Christ to saturate each person’s life.

We envision small groups where families practice the “one anothers" of Scripture with other families as well as their own.

A church committed to Authentic Worship...

We see people living their lives every day as a living sacrifice to the Lord in their families, friendships, jobs, and private lives.

We envision the glory of Christ being the primary motivation for every activity Living Rock is involved in.

We envision a worship style that emphasizes both reflection and celebration.  A style that is biblically accurate as well as culturally relevant.

We see people from children to adults using their musical gifts and abilities to serve Christ and His church in Gillette and beyond.

We see worship that is interactive, participatory, and creative using music, visual helps, media, testimonies, etc.

We envision people interacting with the sermon through questions meant to help them understand and apply the message to their lives throughout the week.

A church committed to Generous Living...

We envision people growing in a heart of generosity which looks for opportunities to use their time, talent, and finances to meet the needs of people both within and outside the church.

We see people being trained through preaching, small groups, and discipleship classes on how to handle money in a responsible, God honoring way so they will be able to give generously to God’s kingdom work.

We see people opening their homes to neighbors, new people, and those in the Church for fellowship and evangelism.

We envision people using their time to focus on eternal things everywhere they go.

We see people growing in the grace and joy of giving as we make more and more of an eternal impact in Gillette and around the world.

A church committed to Christ-like Leadership...

We see men and women being trained and equipped to fulfill God’s design for the family as husbands, wives, moms, and dads through small groups, preaching, and other ministries such as family life conferences.

We see those who are single experiencing the fulfillment and joy of serving Christ and His church with the various gifts and unique opportunities Christ has given them.

We envision elders and deacons who serve Christ and His people with humble hearts, Godly character, and a love for people both in the church and in the community.

We see every believer experiencing the joy of serving Christ and His church as they discover, use, and develop the spiritual gifts that the Lord has given them.

We envision believers serving their employers and co-workers in the workplace with integrity, joy, and excellence as ambassadors for Christ in this world.

We see people being trained and equipped to teach and apply God’s Word as teachers, small group leaders, elders, deacons, etc.
