We value...1. Priority of God's WordHebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Jeremiah 23:29 The Bible is God’s primary way of speaking to us today. It is living, active, and has the power to penetrate the hardest heart. It is also the only message we can totally trust. Therefore, God’s Word will saturate and be the basis for our teaching, our ministries, and our life together as a church family. 2. Power of PrayerMatthew 7:7-11; Hebrews 4:16; James 5:16-18 Prayer is the fuel that empowers us to live life on the rock of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we will seek the Lord’s power and will for us regularly through prayer, both corporately and individually. 3. Engaging EvangelismMatthew 5:14-16; Galatians 6:10; Romans 10:9-15 Engaging evangelism was modeled by Jesus Christ when he spent time with sinners and showed truth and grace to them in words and action. Therefore, we will engage our community and our world in practical, Christ-honoring and relational ways with the good news of Jesus Christ. 4. Loving Relationships1 Thessalonians 2:8; 1 John 3:18 Loving relationships are essential to the health and effectiveness of the church. Therefore, we will not just be a friendly church, but we will share our very lives with each other, forgive one another, bear one another’s burdens, and challenge one another in a humble and loving way to live for Jesus Christ. 5. Authentic WorshipJohn 4:23-24; Romans 12:1-2 Authentic worship has God’s glory as its ultimate motivation. The goal is to enjoy and honor him as a way of life and when we meet together as believers. Therefore, we will worship the Lord in spirit and in truth with an attitude of joy, humility, and unity in a culturally relevant way. 6. Generous LivingProverbs 11:25; 2 Corinthians 9:5-9 Generosity is the mark of a person who is content in all circumstances because they see everything they have as a gift from the Lord, and they trust him to provide for all their needs as they seek to meet the needs of those around them. Therefore, we will use our time, talent, and treasure to refresh the lives of those in our church, community, and world. 7. Christlike LeadershipEphesians 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 3:5-9; Colossians 1:9-10 Jesus Christ influenced those around him by practicing what he preached, being a servant to his followers, and inviting people to have a life-changing relationship with the living God. Therefore, we will encourage and equip all believers to use the gifts and passions God has given to lead and serve in their family, church, and community.
